Baby's first blog post! Bear with me ya'll. There is not much to write about yet, considering I have just arrived in Hong Kong, but I figured I would share some reflections and motivations so they are out in the universe.
Soft reflections
1.) Goodbyes are always anti-climatic. The past couple weeks of mine have been filled with goodbyes, albeit only temporary, and not to say they weren't meaningful or special or emotional to me, but I have found myself always lacking a movie magic moment with loved ones. So much build up just for one final hug before who knows when I'll see that person again. Nothing too deep, I just found it really funny and I guess a bit endearing as well. Maybe all these goodbyes never felt like movie magic "closure" because I know I'll be keeping in contact and checking in with loved ones despite being so far away.
2.) I did not even realize today until my layover in China, that this time last year I was on the final days of my first trip to Asia. Felt like a full circle moment. I think in a lot of ways my April 2023 trip to Japan and Korea really opened my eyes to a curiosity and desire to want to exist more in Asia, East Asia particularly.
3.) While my layover flight was departing to Hong Kong, the shuffle on my Spotify played Dreams by The Cranberries and that really sat right in my spirit.
Staying determined and stubborn.....
As an Earth sign, I''m willing to die on my grave to preserve some sort of routine and consistency amongst the chaos of travel. My current but still developing list includes:
-Maintaining my meticulous skincare routine
-Rising and going to bed with the sun
-Maintaining this blog!! We love a hobby that requires very little physical items, RIP to my natural dying and candle making era.

Until next time <3
